Downloaded, installed, but the darn thing still says incompatible release when I put the IP in place of Tranquility.

They are working on it, same here.
Also, try not to exit the client, it currently crashes on exit no matter what you do and you need hard reboot. You can not force-quit it either, if you Apple/Tab out. So just let it run, but, she sure as hell eating my CPU I am running activity monitor and my CPU load is at 45% . She only used 606 MB/of 2GB RAM, which is a blessing.
Edit:
Best way to Quit the client at the moment: Command/Tab out of the client, then, Use your Activity Monitor, and then "Force-Quit" the client from the activity monitor, the only way to quit the client w/o hard reboot.
Use Command+enter to go to windowed mode! Then you have access to dock and such and things to force quit it.

You need to wait for the client to get it's status information from Tranquility (Incompatible Protocol) and THEN enter the test server IP and move out of the server box. The client will THEN get the connection information from the test server and you should be able to log in.
We are aware of the Crash on Quit issue and it only applies to the Log in screen on the Mac (we are hoping to get a fix soon) but it was deemed acceptable to continue with that issue.
There is also an image scaling issue with portraits but it is graphical only.
PS I has the Linux clients. Am uploading them as I type ...
No joy still.
I start Eve, go into window mode Wait for Tranquility to display its status (Incompatible (Release)) Change the IP, click outside the box. Status still is Incompatible (Release) Enter my username/password and hit connect. Error dialogue.

Originally by: CCP Lingorm There was an error in the IP Address I gave you.
Updated email sent out with the Correct IP address for the Test Server.
Sorry for the Confusion.
Cheers. Now it complains about my username/password.

Yep. tried my account name as the login and password and still no dice. Tried even with common misspellings.

I found this out the hard way. Trashing my prefs was the only way I could fix it.
Anyhow, have any Mac users noticed a color shift in their display when Eve is launched and running? I can't really describe it too well, because I'm almost colorblind, but there's definitely a shift while playing Eve. It goes back to normal after the app has been quit. I noticed it today during login and on the select a character screen, and I wanted to know if it's just an "isolated to me" kind of thing. I haven't created a color profile, and I'm just using the default one with my Alu iMac.
Yes I've noticed this too.

MacBook Pro feedback:
Function (F10 listed in shortcuts) keys don't work even when holding the fn key. fn+command+f10 works
Can't zoom out in space (2 fingers on touchpad and scroll)
Can't type # key (alt+3)

Smooth in space and map. It's 100 fps in windows through boot camp, I imagine similar performance in OS X.

We will soon be making the client available for public testing on one of the test servers.
Will update you with dates as I know them.
Should we mac people hold off upgrading to leopard for testing?
